About This Site

We pride ourselves in developing mods and skins that we would benefit from ourselves. In fact, all our mods have come from a need to fulfill a requirement in our own store!

So with this in mind, we would like to tell you which mods are used here to help us run our store.

Stylo Skin - Firstly, the store skin is based on the brand new Stylo theme for v4. The drop down menu made it perfect for scalability.

RSS Feed - One of our biggest sellers. RSS feeds have two great uses, firstly customers can keep informed of any new products you list in your store with their RSS Readers. Secondly, search engines read them. More information can be found here.

Site Map - For the search engines to have direct and live feeds of products listed on the site. It encourages the search engines to crawl, generating new traffic in the long run. More information can be found here.

Accounts Side Box - Quicker for customers to access their recent orders and account information. The mod has recently been updated to include the drop-down menu option, which is a real space saver over the side box login form. More information can be found here.

Frontend Quick Edit - This mod we have found to be invaluable. It reduces our site management time dramatically by allowing us to edit specific products, categories and site documents in one click once we have found it on the front end. The latest release includes more image and category control! More information can be found here.

Simple Specials Mod - A great little mod to show a list of custom items on the site. The mod can list products, categories and site documents. We're using it as an additional menu of important site information. More information can be found here.

'Have you seen this?' - Ideal to brighten up your store with some amazing cross-selling ability... nothing wrong with a little extra product promotion, and should be considered an essential for your store. More information can be found here.

Integrated Blog / News System - Add promotion and news power to your CubeCart store. Our greatest mod so far is this integrated blogging mod, giving the power to blog and cross reference the blog (or news) article with a product or category. More information on the mod can be found here.

Integrated PayPal Subscriptions - Ideal for providing ongoing services with a reoccurring monthly payment, it doesn't use the order system within CubeCart however it does work nicely on a product by product basis changing a cart product into a subscription product.. We use it in our maintenance section. Details on the mod can be found here.

Popular Products with Images - A golden oldie, and free. This was the first mod we ever made, and has proven one of the most popular over the years. More information can be found here.

Transform your Currency dropdown menu - A simple yet stylish change to the currency drop-down option box which is default with CubeCart. This mod is a great addition if the store only needs to reference a few currency variations. More information available here.

Excludes / Includes Tax Text -This mod was made specifically for the development of this site. Another free download, it has one simple purpose... to tell potential customers whether the price includes tax or not. For the most part the prices exclude thte addition of VAT, however for subscriptions we need to included it in the price because at the moment the integrated subscriptions mod does not adhere to the store tax system. Minimum Order Value - We've used this mod to ensure that any orders that go through the store are above a certain value. The reason this is used is to ensure order values are not 'eaten up' by the gateway fees. The current minimum value is £3.00. More information can be found here.

Category Product Summary - So we have have better product descriptions on our category pages, we have created this mod to help our customers as well as better search engine optimised descriptions instead of the truncated descriptions which comes as standard. More information can be found here.

Latest Products Page - Why limit the latest products list to just the front page. If you've got a lot to put on the front page, then reduce the latest products list and add a page solely for the latest products... ideal.... we thought so, and here it is.

Category Sub Sub Menu - Add additional visitor browsing power with this great mod. It's now easy to promote multiple categories on the front page and the deeper categories all in one mod. More information can be found here.

Rich Text Editor Control - To make it easier adding HTML to site pages, we developed this great little mod to disable the editor as and when needed. Visit here for more information.

Printer friendly - We have also made the site printer friendly, try a print preview in your browser? No side columns, or header images, easy on the printer cartridges and it all fits on one page. More information on the service we provide can be found here.
